Our services are complex, starting with an initial assessment, which is the cornerstone of our work and allows us to select the best course of therapy to achieve your goals. Get an idea of each service here, then skip straight to booking an appointment.
Diagnostic services
Check-up consultation
In order to be able to monitor the development of the condition and the progress of the therapy, it is important to have a follow-up meeting from time to time. Together with your doctor you can evaluate the progress and its effect and agree on how to proceed. If you experience new problems, it is also a good idea to make a follow-up appointment to plan your therapy. During an individual check-up you will always meet either MUDr. Ortová, MUDr. Michálková or MUDr. Bc. Píšková.
Physiotherapeutical services
Individual physiotherapy for children from 6 years of age
When working with older children, the physiotherapist uses similar techniques as in adult therapy, but everything must be adapted to the age and personality of the child for the therapy to be effective. Often a form of game is used. The most common problems that affect older children are poor posture, general “clumsiness”, flat feet, valgoid ankles, hypermobility and general instability. In addition to therapeutical exercises, the physiotherapist can also advise which leisure activities are appropriate and which are inappropriate, so that the therapeutical goal is supported in everyday life. The therapies are led by Renata.
Visceral therapy
Visceral therapy is a a gentle but deep treatment of the soft tissues located among the internal organs. It is based on anatomical and physiological principles. Briefly: 1) Organs are not loose in the body, but are connected to the spine and other structures by ligaments, 2) All structures in the body (muscles, bones, organs, nerves) are surrounded by ligaments, 3) All structures must be freely movable and slidable one on another. If this does not happen, increased pulls within the body are created which can lead to pain (both musculoskeletal, abdominal, etc.) But they can also have a big effect on the function of the organs themselves. This therapy is of great importance, for example, in functional problems of the digestive system (reflux, chronic constipation or diarrhea), in conditions after abdominal surgery or in gynecological problems.
Gynaecological physiotherapy
Physiotherapy can affect a number of gynaecological problems such as painful menstruation or intercourse, functional sterility, conditions after gynaecological surgery, incontinence, prolapse, etc. An important area here is work with the pelvic floor, which is dealt with by e.g. Mgr. Renáta Juříková. Physiotherapy is also suitable for women who are preparing for a baby, we can adjust the tension of soft tissues in the pelvis and create better conditions for conception. Gynaecological physiotherapy uses a combination of approaches, mentioning for example the DNS methodology, visceral or neural therapy.
Sport physiotherapy
Physiotherapy of athletes is a very specific area. Prevention is extremely important, as well as performance technique and compensation outside of training. With all this, the physiotherapist can advise and design a suitable and supportive regime for the athlete. The result is the resolution of pre-existing difficulties, but also the prevention of injuries and the improvement of performance in the sport. Each sport has its own specifics and therefore working with each athlete will look very different. In the first place, it is important for athletes to work with coordination, i.e. the perception and control of their own body. Next, stability training and strength development is key. Áron is particularly involved in these areas. The work with the psyche is also important, which then mostly falls under the expertise of a psychologist.
Physiotherapy in pregnancy and after childbirth
The stereotype that “pregnancy must be endured” is hopefully behind us. On the contrary, physiotherapy has enormous benefits for a pregnant woman. It can address painful conditions during pregnancy, possible diastasis, help a woman prepare for childbirth (no matter the way) and the period after it. The combination of visceral and neural therapy (Michaela Píšková) can greatly relieve from pregnancy nausea. After childbirth, physiotherapy has its place, especially in relation to adjusting the function of the pelvic floor, integrating the abdominal wall, helping the woman to “return to her body” as soon as possible. It is extremely important to work with any scars, whether from birth injuries or a caesarean section. Women´s health is a domain of Renata.
Psychological services
Individual session with a psychologist
Our philosophy is to look at the whole person. The functioning of the head and the body cannot be separated. That is why our clinic also has a psychologist you can turn to; either on your own initiative or after a referral from a doctor or therapist. This can be for crisis intervention, coaching, longer-term collaboration or working with the mind in sports training.
